Established
in 1978, Impact Specialties, Inc. produces receipt envelopes - a 4 x 6 1/2
envelope with attaching carbonless sheets of paper imprinted with either a
standard or customized form. The paper used to construct the first receipt
envelope was called Impact paper, hence our name.
An offshoot of a commercial printing company, Impact Specialties, Inc. began
product development in response to a request by an Atlanta jeweler to assist
in creating a method in which to track jewelry repairs. The first envelopes
were produced completely by hand, which was a slow and expensive process. Development
continued throughout the years. Eventually acceptable quality was attained
by automation allowing forms to be mass-produced. After creating an array of
forms for the jewelry industry, Impact has expanded into new industries with
a variation of the receipt envelope. Impact supplies after hours receipt envelopes
for the automotive industry and mail in parking tickets to the law enforcement industry.
